Speaking

Talks and workshops

I’m available for conference talks, team workshops, webinars and podcasts. Each one is shaped around your audience, whether they build websites, design them or commission them.

Formats

Ways we can work together

  1. Conference talks

Keynotes and sessions, sized to your programme, with slides that stay light enough to share afterwards.

  2. Team workshops

Half or full days with designers and developers, working hands-on with your own website and its real numbers.

  3. Webinars and podcasts

Remote, live or recorded. Conversations about the work, the books and what I’m learning.

Themes

What I talk about

  1. 1

    Sustainable web design in practice

Page-weight budgets, images, fonts, JavaScript and hosting: what to change first, and how to measure it.

  2. 2

    Accessibility and efficiency

Why WCAG 2.2 and lighter pages share the same foundation: semantic HTML and less that can go wrong.

  3. 3

    Honest claims about digital sustainability

What the EU’s new rules on environmental claims mean for how digital teams describe their work.

  4. 4

    The slow developer

Building software with intention in an industry that rewards speed.

These are starting points, not a fixed menu. Tell me about your audience and I’ll suggest an angle.
